I will be at the lock in at 6pm Dec 14. to help get everyone registered and collect payment.

Merit Badge Counselor list

Posted by gkrabach on Oct 1 2024 - 8:11am

Parents / leaders - in an effort to make Merit Badge Counselor (MBC) list more accessible, I've updated the Merit Badge Counselor List page to include counselors for Eagle Required merit badges, and then elective merit badges.

If we have an MBC in the troop, I have listed their name - however if we don't have one in the troop I have listed a recommendation or two. Merit badges with multiple counselors listed are listed in no particular order, but gives scouts some options. Scouts are encouraged to work with a variety of counselors, however this is not required.

Question regarding entering advancement into Scoutbook

Posted by gkrabach on Sep 30 2024 - 4:54pm

A question was raised about whether or not parents/scouts should enter requirements into scoutbook.

The answer to this is yes...and no - but let me clarify.

If a scout completes requirements in their book and has a signature in their book or signed blue card (complete or partial) for MBs and want to update Scoutbook, we request that you send a photo of the relevant signature pages to advancement@bsa777.mytroop.us This helps clarify that this is a requirement that has been tested & approved by a leader/higher rank scout.
